Sweet Peas has a reading and math readiness program in every classroom. Our program includes use of workbooks, computers, manipulative materials, puzzles, blocks, creative art, dramatic play, story-telling, singing and music.

We offer four programs separated for each developmental age group.

INFANTS (0 - 12 months)

At Sweet Peas, your baby will be safe, nurtured and loved. Cuddling and holding very young children is a big part of what we do everyday. As they try new things, our caregivers are always right there providing plenty of warm praise and attention.

Secure, nurturing situations taking place under the watchful eye of our trained caregivers help teach babies to cherish and trust their world, and help them weather the ordinary ups and downs of growth and development.

TODDLERS (1 - 2 years)

Hugging and cuddling are a big part of every toddler's day. At the same time, these little tots are busy finding out interesting things around them and experiencing the world in exciting new ways as they begin walking, talking, exploring on their own, and playing together.

Toddlers climb on things, investigate cupboards, try to take things apart. Our teachers and staff are quick to provide both encouragement and a safe, secure environment as these busy little people develop self confidence.

TWO's & THREE's (2 - 3 years)

Part of the two-year-olds experience at Sweet Peas is to learn about sharing and getting along with others. This is a time when they begin participating in activities for longer periods --- listening to stories, singing songs, playing games and doing art projects.

Through stories, children learn to appreciate language, gain new vocabulary learn to use new words and concepts. Simple participatory songs and games are important introductions to speech patterns, sensory motor skill development and movement skills.

PRE-SCHOOL (4 - 5 years)

For children, a preschool is a happy place for exploring and finding out new things every day. For parents, a preschool should be a place that focuses on learning yet never forgets the importance of fun. A great preschool encourages development but never pushes your child to grow up too fast.
